Spark} The Event!

What an amazing event it was! Spark was held at This is the Place Heritage Park in Salt Lake City. (One of my all-time favorite places!) My friend, Rose won 2 tickets for this awesome experience and she took ME with her! Margie, Jefra, Rhonna and Liz, you ROCK! These ladies deserve a big applause and lots of hugs. There was not one detail of the event that wasn't beautifully executed, tied with a bow and sprinkled with love. I learned so much about the creative process and the SPARK that is unique to each of us. This weekend nourished our creative souls and gave us opportunities to learn new techniques, experience different products and make new friends. I embellished a t-shirt, made a trinket necklace, started an art journal, and learned some great tips about being a better photographer.
As I was driving home late Saturday night, I was so consumed with excitement from the past 2 days that I had to pull over and put my thoughts in my journal. Here is a snippet of what I wrote:
"Sparks taught me to EMBRACE my ideas...own it, love it, share it! Then VENTURE to new places...be bold, be brave and be bodacious! Fill my life with TREASURES, embellish them, and let the process REPLENISH my well.
My mind is spinning, my heart is overflowing and my creative soul is bursting with energy, delight, and SPARKLE! Sisterhood is a sweet, necessary morsel that makes us better, brighter and stronger. Together we bouy each other to heigths that can't be reached alone. Nothing sparks another's light better than a sincere compliment. When women are strong and filled, there is PURPOSE. There is JOY. There is UNITY!
I want to spread the ENERGY. I want to PLAY. I want to SHINE! I want to create lovely things for others."
